A wonderful tabletop study of an Elephant. 'Stretch' depicts the world famous Boswell from Mana Polls National Park renowned for his ability to stand on two legs. Presented in a world bronze edition of 9, created and cast in the UK.
About the Sculptor
James Maberly was born in Kenya and brought up in Zimbabwe, . There followed service in the British Army with the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, a period in business in Southern Africa, then art studies at both Ipswich and Norwich School of Art, specialising in sculpture and drawing. He was awarded a BA (Hons) in Fine Art.James has never lost interest in Africa and Zimbabwe in particular. He founded a charity to care for farmers and farm-workers whose lives were devastated by the farm invasions, which led to an interest in the process of negotiation and mediation. Further studies in this area have enabled him to begin the first attempts at bringing the various stakeholders together.
