Prior to his studies at The Florence Academy of Art, Hywel studied at the London atelier of Jan Buckley, R.A.
He is a council member of The Society of Portrait Sculptors, member of the Royal Society of Sculptors and Principal tutor at The Florence Academy of Art.
He regularly exhibits in both London and Florence
